Cette technique, que la Schappe a développée avec ses propres craqueuses, supprime les points faibles en améliorant les caractéristiques des fibres et en augmentant leur ténacité et leur filabilité. The Schappe technique is based on the use of long fibres producing yarns which are more bulky, of higher tenacity and which can be produced in a number of blends. Stretch breaking, the first step of the process, consists of transforming the continuous filaments into a top of long fibres. This technique developed by the company utilising their own design of machine, removes the weak points of the fibres and improves their characteristics by increasing their tenacity and spinability.
