Schappe Technical Thread est un héritier direct des traditions des filatures de la Schappe qui déjà, à la fin du 19e siècle avaient construit leur réputation sur leur savoir-faire dans la filature de la soie. C’est cette même technicité qui par la suite nous a permis d’opérer avec succès une mutation dans le domaine des fibres artificielles et synthétiques. Cette fibre de l’innovation nous a ainsi conduits, depuis plus de vingt ans, à maîtriser également la transformation des matériaux thermostables et de haute ténacité pour devenir aujourd’hui le premier producteur mondial des authentiques fils à coudre de hautes performances. Disposant aujourd’hui d’une gamme de produits bénéficiant toujours des dernières innovations, nous entrons dans le 21e siècle aux côtés de clients issus de secteurs aussi diversifiés que l’aéronautique, l’automobile, la chimie, la protection individuelle...

Schappe Technical Thread is the result of a long Schappe spinning tradition which is based upon its know-how concerning the spinning of silk yarns. Using the latest innovations, Schappe’s technicians have applied this same technology to the processing of newer synthetic materials. Then, by applying these skills for the past 20 years in the spinning of the latest generation of high tenacity thermostable fibres, we have become the manufacturer of the authentic high performances high sewing threads. Today, with a range of products taking benefit of the latest innovations, we enter the 21st century with customers in the aeronautical, automotive, chemical and protective clothing industries.
